Founded in 1988, LARN SRL is an Italian, independent Small and Medium Enterprise (SME), operated by the second generation of the Montaldo family.

It is a CDMO that works in creating and packaging products for third party companies, specialised in Food Supplements, Foods for Specials Medical Purposes (FSMPs), Medical Devices, and Complementary Feed.

LARN is approved by the Ministry of Health, certified with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ORGANIC, and FDA approved.

In the past couple of years, LARN has grown both internally and externally: the 5000 m2 location has fast production lines and technologically advanced packaging machines to carry out Clients’ requests efficiently while maintaining its versatility.

LARN is a dynamic company with a technical-scientific know-how that is constantly improving due to 35 years of experience and the time investment of training employees meticulously.

The company always pays maximum attention to the selection of its raw materials and packaging suppliers to abide by LARN’s scrupulous quality standards.

Sustainability

LARN actively reinforces and elevates its position in the market by investing in cutting-edge technology, aimed at reducing waste and optimising the consumption of energy coming from renewable resources.

For many years now, LARN has taken action to balance its Carbon Footprint. For one, the company makes an annual donation to Save the Planet, a non-profit organisation that aims to help in reversing the environmental damage done to the Earth, in an amount equivalent to the CO2 quantity produced by all the employees’ commute to work. With the help of the United Nations’ Carbon Offset Platform, LARN calculates the CO2 produced and converts the value into Euros, thus obtaining a precise amount to help finance the organisation’s projects to conserve nature and repair the destruction caused by humans on the environment.

As a result, LARN has helped give life to the green oasis inside Ticino Park by participating in Save the Planet’s reforestation project that has planted and maintained native plant species.

Additionally, LARN takes initiative to protect its neighbours by donating to the Giannina Gaslini Institute of Recovery and Health in Genova and by donating money towards a new accessible medical transportation van for the Italian Red Cross (CRI) in Serravalle Scrivia.
